Obbe van der Weide
Obbe van der Weide (1996) is a Dutch contemporary artist whose sculptural practice explores the relationship between technology, perception, and the human condition. Working between drawing, digital modeling, and sculpture, he creates hybrid forms that balance organic structures with industrial precision.
His process begins with expressive charcoal sketches that are translated into digitally constructed forms and materialized through resin printing, sanding, and galvanization. Through these works, van der Weide reflects on the invisible technological systems that increasingly shape contemporary experience.
