Safae Gounane
Safae Gounane (1999) is a painter based in Amsterdam. Her paintings emerge from observations of everyday life, conversations, friendships and nightlife. Working intuitively, she combines reality with imagination to create layered figurative worlds in which intimacy, existentialism, feminism and contemporary life come together.
Through painting, she explores how personal experiences intertwine with collective emotions and how fleeting moments can become lasting images.
