In Clear Light 12 Kees te Kolsté builds an expansive surface where gesture and material unfold in a continuous flow. Paint is pushed, dragged and layered into a dense and tactile field where accents of color emerge and dissolve within a dominant light. The composition feels alive and shifting.
Marks overlap and reconfigure while textures reveal themselves gradually depending on distance and light. There is a tension between instinct and control where each gesture carries both immediacy and intention inviting the viewer to move with the work over time.
