In Clear Light 4, Kees te Kolsté builds a richly layered surface where paint is pushed, dragged and accumulated into a tactile field of movement. Fragments of red, yellow and deep blue emerge and dissolve within a dominant light, creating a sense of constant transformation.
The work feels both instinctive and controlled. Gestures overlap, textures unfold gradually, and the composition shifts depending on distance and light, revealing new rhythms and details over time.
